Terms of Service
Last updated: 19 September 2026 · Governing law: Belgium
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern the licensing and use of the MID Tech software suite — MID Pixelmap, MID Lens Calculator, MID Generator, MID Sync, MID Countdown and MID Player (together, the "Software"), provided by Pixels by Triaxis BV, a company registered in Belgium under enterprise number BE 0568.727.430 ("we", "us", "Pixels by Triaxis"). By downloading, installing, activating or otherwise using the Software, you ("you", the "Licensee") agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not install or use the Software.
1. The Software and licence model
The Software is distributed as a Windows installer. It may be run without an activation code in a limited trial mode. A paid licence, purchased online or on invoice (see section 2), unlocks the full feature set via an activation code tied to one or more machines, depending on the licence tier purchased.
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the Software on the number of machines your activation code covers, for your own internal or professional use. You may not resell, sublicense, rent, lease, or distribute the Software or your activation code to third parties without our prior written consent.
Connections between computers (MID Link, remote control, signage). Where the Software connects one computer to another over the internet, it connects them directly whenever the networks allow it. When neither side can be reached directly — a strict venue or company network on one side, a mobile network on the other — the connection can instead be carried by a relay server, either one you configure yourself or, if we have switched it on for your licence, one we operate through our infrastructure provider. A relay only forwards packets: picture and sound stay encrypted between the two computers, the relay cannot read them, and nothing is stored on it. Traffic over a relay we operate is limited per licence, both in bitrate and in the amount per calendar month; when that allowance is used up, connections that cannot be made directly will simply not be established until it is renewed. Everything that can still connect directly is unaffected.
2. Purchases and payment
Licences are purchased either online through Polar.sh or directly from us on invoice.
Online (Polar.sh). Online purchases are processed by Polar.sh, acting as merchant of record. Polar handles payment processing, applicable VAT/BTW collection, and invoicing. We do not receive or store your payment card details. Questions about a specific charge, invoice, or refund request are subject to Polar's own terms and payment policies in addition to these Terms.
On invoice. For licences purchased directly from us, Pixels by Triaxis BV is the seller. We issue the invoice, including any applicable VAT/BTW, and payment is due within the term stated on the invoice. An activation code may be issued before payment is received; if an invoice remains unpaid after its due date, we may deactivate the activation code(s) it covers until it has been paid in full.
Unless otherwise stated at checkout, and without prejudice to any mandatory statutory right of withdrawal that applies to consumers under Belgian and EU law, you acknowledge that once an activation code has been issued and the Software has been unlocked, the right of withdrawal for digital content supplied on a durable medium may no longer apply, to the extent permitted by Article VI.53, 13° of the Belgian Code of Economic Law (or its successor provision), where you have expressly requested immediate performance and acknowledged the resulting loss of the withdrawal right.
3. Intellectual property
The Software, including its source code, design, documentation, trademarks ("MID Tech", "MID Pixelmap", "MID Lens Calculator", "MID Generator", "MID Sync", "MID Countdown", "MID Player" and associated logos) and all related intellectual property rights, is and remains the exclusive property of Pixels by Triaxis BV or its licensors. These Terms grant you a licence to use the Software; they do not transfer any ownership or intellectual property right to you.
You may not: reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Software except to the extent such restriction is expressly prohibited by applicable law, or as far as needed to modify an LGPL-licensed component included in the Software and debug such modifications; remove or alter any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notice; or use our trademarks or branding without prior written permission.
Files you process with the Software (your source footage, exports, presets, and project files) remain entirely your own property. We claim no rights over content you create or convert using the Software.
NDI®. The Software can send and receive NDI® High Bandwidth video. NDI® is a registered trademark of Vizrt NDI AB (ndi.video). The Software is not a product of Vizrt NDI AB, which does not sponsor or endorse it. The NDI® Runtime is not included with the Software: you obtain it from NDI under NDI's own licence terms. For the NDI® software development kit, the NDI® Runtime, NDI® products and any part of them, and any protocols they use, whether transmitted or received over a network or used internally or externally to the machine, physical or virtual, they are operating on (together "NDI Technology"), you may not: modify NDI Technology; reverse engineer, disassemble or recompile NDI Technology, or attempt to do so; circumvent any technical limitations in NDI Technology; or remove, obscure or alter any proprietary notices or labels contained on or within NDI Technology. Vizrt NDI AB and its licensors disclaim all warranties for NDI Technology and, to the extent permitted by applicable law, all liability for any damages, whether direct, indirect, incidental or consequential, arising from the use of the Software. You will comply fully with all relevant export laws and regulations of the United States, so that the Software or any part of it is not exported, directly or indirectly, in violation of United States law. Other product, company and format names used in the Software or on this website are trademarks or registered trademarks of their respective owners. They are used only to describe compatibility or to identify equipment, and Pixels by Triaxis BV is not affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by those owners.
4. Misuse, licence codes and termination
Each activation code is issued for use on the number of machines stated at purchase. Sharing, publishing, reselling, or attempting to circumvent the activation or machine-binding mechanism of an activation code constitutes misuse of this licence.
In the event of misuse, fraud, chargeback, or a breach of these Terms, we reserve the right to revoke or deactivate the relevant activation code(s), without prior notice and without refund, and to refuse future sales to the party involved. We reserve the right to take further legal action where misuse causes us damage.
You may stop using the Software and uninstall it at any time. Termination of your licence does not entitle you to a refund except where required by mandatory law or expressly granted at our discretion.
5. Disclaimer of warranties
The Software is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable Belgian and EU law. We do not warrant that the Software will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every hardware/software configuration, codec, media server, or driver version you use it with.
6. Limitation of liability
The Software is often used in live-event and broadcast environments. You are solely responsible for testing the Software and your full pipeline (encoding, playback, timecode, cabling and synchronisation) ahead of any live use, and for maintaining your own backups, redundancy, and contingency plans for show-critical operations.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Pixels by Triaxis BV, its founders, employees and contractors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of revenue, profits, goodwill, data, or business opportunity, arising out of or in connection with the use of, or inability to use, the Software — including, without limitation, damages resulting from a failed, delayed, or incorrect render, encoding artefact, timecode drift, A/V sync error, LED cabling misconfiguration, or a live show or event disruption of any kind, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Where liability cannot be excluded under mandatory Belgian law (including liability for fraud, gross negligence, or death or personal injury caused by our negligence), our total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with the Software and these Terms shall in any event be limited to the amount actually paid by you for the licence giving rise to the claim in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to liability.
7. Free/trial use
Trial use of the Software is provided free of charge, entirely at your own risk, with no warranty or liability whatsoever from Pixels by Triaxis BV beyond what is mandatorily required by law for free-of-charge digital content under the Belgian Code of Economic Law.
8. Changes to the Software and these Terms
We may update, patch, or discontinue features of the Software, and may amend these Terms from time to time. Material changes to these Terms will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Software after such changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
9. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by Belgian law. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the Software that cannot be resolved amicably shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the judicial district where Pixels by Triaxis BV has its registered office, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection jurisdiction rules that may apply in your favour.
